Let's get this out of the way right now. If you don't like the 80's metal scene, this album isn't for you. Grim Reaper is a British Heavy Metal band that is a part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene. This entails raging dual guitars, falsetto vocals, and talk of demons. See You In Hell is Grim Reaper's debut album, and it's an amazingly tight piece of work. The band had been together nearly a decade before they released See You In Hell, and you can tell. The 8 songs are solid tight entries. Fist pumping/headbanging/devil horns throwing is nearly a requirement for this album. It opens up with the rip-roaring See You In Hell, and if that song doesn't sell you on the album, you have no business even listening to the rest of it. The only song I believe doesn't really stand-up is The Show Must Go On, a power ballad. But you have to remember, this was the 80's, it was commonplace to have a power ballad shoved somewhere into an otherwise solid album. The other 7 tracks are just more of the same awesome. Now Or Never and All Hell Let Loose are two of my favorites, along with the title track. If you want to know what the New Wave of British Heavy Metal scene was all about, look no further.Tracklist
