Do you find yourself craving the acoustic sound, but with the lyrics of a 2007 post-hardcore band? Well then I must say you have stumbled into gold. Anthony Lee Phillips debut album "Letters From Sunniva" is just that. These songs sound like the love child of William Fitzsimmons and Andrew Jackson Jihad. Though the album has a slow start, it really picks up a few songs in with, "The End of Patience". One can really sense the emotion in his voice and lyrics, as he copes with a struggling relationship. Though the content is very straight forward, meaning you wont have to dig too deep to figure out the song, the lyrics are fantastically written. With this being his first full album, I can say his music shows promise. This is one act to keep tabs on.
