This has become a favorite of mine, for the simple fact that they are so good at what they do; emulating the sounds of the past while sounding modern. Holy Grail, much like White Wizzard, are a band that aims to bring their favorite qualities from music's past back into the spotlight. Interestingly, Holy Grail and White Wizzard are different pieces of the same puzzle. Holy Grail is the original line-up of White Wizzard. Wizzard released an EP and then broke up, with the bassist being the only remaining member, he reformed and created what I now adore. The rest of the band found a new bassist and reformed as Holy Grail. They are both approaching the same genre, but from two different angles. While Wizzard focuses a bit more on the histrionics of the singers voice, Grail focuses on the complete package a bit more. The whole unit thrives as one. If you want to find out if you would like this band or not, all you have to do is listen to their first single, My Last Attack. That sums up what the band aims to sound like, what the lyrics are about, and how hard they will rock you. A seriously good album if you like bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, or even White Wizzard.
